For me when summer ends that means I am going back to work. Last week was the first week back and definitely a transition. This next week will be the first week with students. I thought I would post some pics of some of the things the Coon family did in our last week of Summer!

Hot, Hot, Hot!!

Today we are expecting another hot day. Yesterday it reached 102 and today may reach 105. If I didn't have a meeting to go to for work, we would be heading to the lake. Parker has been good, but I fear that a few more days of this may be to much for him. Thank goodness for the basement where we will camping out for the next few days.

On the Countdown!

I officially go back to work in a week and a half. I can hardly wait and have already been in my classroom and have everything set up and hung on the walls. One of the reasons I am so excited is this year I teach 8th grade (my favorite age group) and I love the curriculum (U.S. History). This year will also be exciting since it is a Presidential election year. Let the countdown begin and 8th graders beware...if you can pass my class in 8th grade you can pass any class in H.S.
